My book, out of nowhere is about a person named Saeed and tom they both play soccer at their high school. They go through a lot of different experiences by being from different places. Saeed is from Somalia and Tom is from America. They both assimilate to each other's cultures and religions because they are different countries with different confrontations. “his door of America that would open wide if you had the right name, the right skin color, the right networks, but could just slam in your face if you had the wrong religion, the wrong immigration status, the wrong skin color. My book, Out of Nowhere and the ted talk, immigrant voices make democracy stronger have a connection because they both talk about how our society talks about if you're not the right color, don't support the same religion, life will be more difficult for you. “Many sudanese girls wear hijab. But you do not write “sudanese slut”(Padian 300) And how we should take the immigrants advice and make immigrant countries.
